Wish List

Currently, Meals-on-Wheels Greater San Diego serves over 2,200 seniors and approximately 400,000 meals a year!  We have four Service Centers, a Meal Center and Administrative Office all working together in helping us serve the entire county.

Meals-on-Wheels Greater San Diego does not receive any direct federal dollars, therefore we must rely on fund raising to serve our clientele. Our organization needs many things to keep the wheels rolling as efficiently as possible. If you can donate any of these items, we would be grateful to accept your generosity.  You may donate the item or necessary funds.

Color Copiers/Printers – $750 each

Current need: 3

Used for copying route maps for our volunteers, printing flyers, newsletters, training manuals and so much more.
Portable Displays – $950 each  & 10 Foot  x 10 Foot Canopies – $300 each

Current need: 3 each

Currently, we have one shared display system.  Additional displays will be allocated to each Service Center.

32″ Flat Screen TV w/DVD Player – $500 each

Current need: 5

Used for training our volunteers, educating our staff and conducting presentations to donors/corporations.  Needed for each Service Center and Administration Ofiice.
Computers/Work Stations & Software – $1000 each

Current need: 31

Replacement equipment for old, recycled and donated computers currently in use.
Projectors - $800 each

Current need: 4

Needed for each Service Center. To be used at events and community outreach seminars. This gift will help us to save on rental costs at events and community outreach seminars. 

Bluetooth Phone Adapters – $50 each

Help keep our drivers safe and connected!
GPS Units – $300 each

Allocated to meal delivery drivers and volunteers.
Camcorder – $500

Used to document fund raising events, volunteer recognition luncheons or preserving stories told by our seniors and volunteers. 

51 x 114 LED Outdoor signs – $22,000 each

Current need: 2

Both our Meal Center and Administration Office are located in highly visible locations.  Our message will reach thousands of people on a daily basis.
Landscape Redesign

Our most pressing need is the removal of several trees and bushes at the Administration Office as roots are causing major damage to our building and retaining walls.
