Meals on Wheels San Diego County holds events throughout the year to help raise funds to support our homebound San Diego seniors. As we rely mostly on private donations and foundation funding (we receive no direct federal funding), these events help sustain the services we provide.
March for Meals - Hundreds of local Meals on Wheels programs across the country reach into their communities to build the support to enable them to deliver nutritious meals, friendly visits and safety checks to America's seniors all year long. By volunteering, donating or speaking out, you can ensure the seniors in your neighborhood can live more healthy, happy and independent lives at home, where they want to be.

Pete Micklish Memorial Fishing For Charity
July 5th- 7th, 2017
Join/and or sponsor Debbie Case, President and CEO of Meals on Wheels San Diego County, along with 30 fishermen in support of
Meals on Wheels San Diego County for a 1.5 day fishing trip
aboard the 92’ Shogun out of Fishermen’s Landing.
Fishermen will enjoy world-class service by the Shogun crew, compete
for fishing prizes, and leave with awesome swag bags, including elite
fishing items, all while helping a good cause! Can’t beat this deal!
Pete Micklish understood the needs of our seniors and always stepped up to assist us in improving our organization from building out our commercial kitchen, the new East County Service Center Office and the complete renovation of our Administration building to assisting our seniors by improving their living situation. A little fix-it project for a senior became an extreme makeover as he rallied his friends and business partners. Fishing for Charity would not have become the success it is without his enthusiasm to "fill the boat."
