The Museum of Photographic Arts will be presenting Humanitas: Images of India by Fredric Roberts during the event. Both genuine and profound, Humanitas: Images of India tells a story of beauty and grace, work and family, spirituality and devotion, while also decoding the notion of documentation and representation.
Award winning photographer Fredric Roberts photographs ordinary life throughout the developing world, from daily events to ceremonies, revealing the intimacy and community of place. In his portraits, the subject often looks directly at the photographer and then to the viewer. " When I look at the people I photograph, I see that they have a larger vision of life, a vision that transcends monetary wealth. It is about their relationship with their god, with their land, neighbors, and family. It is the power of those relationships that I want to communicate," says Roberts. |

Dine with the Chefs
On Sunday, September 28 we will once again host the ever popular "Dine with the Chefs Event"
The Chefs de Cuisine, a group made up of San Diego’s leading executive chefs, are continuing their many years of support for San Diego County seniors. They have once again agreed to provide lavish gourmet food stations for attendees to enjoy as they bid on auction items. Wayne Foster Entertainment will also be there to keep us entertained!
Individual tickets available for $150 or a table of 10 can be purchased for $1,500.
